I don’t understand any of this, but it makes math seem surprisingly fun.
And doesn’t it remind you a little of this?

In one article I saw him referred to as “Impoverished” and similar Einstein in that they both allegedly got their start outside of the mainstream scientific community. But Lisi has a PhD in Theoretical Physics. Einstein was a patent clerk! Plus, Lisi lives in SoCal and vacations in Tahoe, combine those two facts with the cost of a PhD and you certainly don’t have a poor man. Good for him if his theory pans, but the media is really trying to portray him as an underdog.

“The moment this happened my brain exploded with the implications and the beauty of the thing,” Lisi tells New Scientist magazine. “I thought: ‘Holy crap, that’s it!’”
science is not the uber-objective enterprise which most think it is. beautiful.
Justin,
Thanks for the info! This article was the first I’d heard of it.
david,
Good observation. Beauty may save the world yet…
